'Tigh
Na Caora' at Ulva Ferry, Isle of Mull

Tigh Na Caora
View to the South West.
'Tigh Na Caora' is a typical Hebridean Cottage
- stone built and slate roofed. It is situated one Mile north of the Ulva
Ferry on the western coast of the Isle of Mull, on a completely unspoilt
coastline of spectacular beauty and wildness. It is tucked into the bottom
of a steep wooded hillside, with fields in front and open moorland behind,
and is reached by a track through ancient oak woods.
The Views from the cottage are outstanding. To the
south west the cliffs of Berg and the Ross of Mull, westwards to the Isle
of Ulva and to the NW, is the open Atlantic, over which the sun sets in
the summer. It is a quarter of a Mile from a sheltered (and usually deserted)
bay, with safe bathing and sand at low water. Behind the cottage an ancient
drove road, now a green track, takes you up into the hills and moorland
of northern Mull. Within minutes you can look back out to sea, to the isles
of Iona and Inch Kenneth, and to the west there are rocky shapes of the
Treshnish Isles and beyond them the long islands of Coll and Tiree.

Views of the Kitchen and dining area and relaxing
