treshnish & haunn cottages
The 8 eco friendly Treshnish and Haunn Cottages are situated on an organic working farm in the north west corner of the Isle of Mull, 45 minutes from the colourful 'capital' of Tobermory. Dervaig is the closest village (20 mins drive) with a pretty main street, 2 great local shops, and a pub serving delicious bar meals. Calgary beach is 10 mins drive and there are several other hidden beaches within easy reach.
Treshnish Farm itself is a great base for bird watchers and walkers - varied wildlife habitats to explore on the farm: herb rich wildflower meadows, open hill and moorland, sea cliffs and native woodland.   Rewarding walking with extensive views along coastal paths or on open hill.  We have an on-going record of birds, flowers, butterflies and moths seen on the farm and in the local area, and we welcome our guests to add their sightings.
4 cottages are now heated with low carbon woodchip and all 8 have been carefully restored, decorated with natural paints.   The cottages are either 3 star or 4  star and sleep between 2 and 6.  All are well insulated and cosy year round.

Dervaig Hall  - Bunkrooms Accommodation
The well appointed and comfortable Dervaig Bunkrooms are not classified as a hostel because there is not a staffed reception desk and no one living on site!  But rest assured the bunkrooms are well looked after - the Hall Keeper lives in the village and is often around.  Dervaig Hall is a community run amenity in the village of Dervaig, which is 7 miles from Tobermory in the north west corner of the island.   Dervaig is an attractive conservation village on the edge of a sheltered sea loch.  Pretty whitewashed houses border a quiet main street.  There are lovely walks along Loch Cuin, into the forest and to nearby standing stones.   A traditional village pub serves good food and has a wide range of whiskies.   Calgary Bay, with its sparkling sands and turquoise waters is 5 miles away, and is rated one of the worlds top beaches!
ACCOMMODATION
There are beds for up to 10 guests.   'Quinish' is a bunkroom for up to 6 people and 'Cuin' sleeps 4.  Each room has an en-suite bathroom with WC, shower and wash hand basin.  There is a communal kitchen and a separate sitting and dining area.  The main Hall can be hired if required by guests.  These 2 bunkrooms can be booked by bed or by room.  If you prefer not to share with strangers it is possible to book either room as a whole. There is a travel cot available for use, but we ask you to bring your own bedding for it. (Please check with the Hall Keeper before arrival that it is not already in use by another family).
