known for its wildlife and, being situated next to Loch Cuin, Tigh-Na-Mara
is ideal for those seeking otters, shore birds, wildfowl and seabirds.The
Sea Eagle viewing hide is just a few miles away, between Dervaig &
Tobermory.
Dervaig has two shops, a
Post Office & general stores as well as 'Coffee & Books'.
The Bellachroy Inn is the oldest inn on Mull (dating back to 1608) and
provides excellent lunches and evening meals. A short drive from
Dervaig will take you to the Old Byre Heritage Centre & Tearooms.
Calgary Bay is only 5 miles to the west of the village. At Calgary
there is a gallery & tea room, restaurant and a woodland sculpture
walk.

Situated just below the main

We have two double bedrooms,
both on the ground floor, each with en suite shower room. The bedrooms
are equipped with TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryer
etc., and are warm and comfortable.
In addition to a superb breakfast,
we can, if you wish, provide you with an evening meal and even a
packed lunch for those 'all day' birdwatching trips. Special dietary
requirements are no problem - we are familiar with vegetarian, gluten-free,
low fat diets etc. - just let us know.

| Ardness House is a spacious
modern bungalow situated between Bunessan and Fionnphort on the southernmost
peninsula of the Isle Of Mull, It has spectacular views northwards, over
the sea, towards the prominent headland known as "Burg". Accommodation
consists of 1 x twin room and 2 x Double rooms all with ensuite facilities,
tea & coffee making facilities are provided in all the bedrooms.The
visitors' lounge has a colour TV. However the panorama from the window
is probably more pleasing than anything on television. There is ample off-road
parking. |

Glamaig, is a detached house
situated on the edge Tobermory. The house sits on a hill top and commands
magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
Two double bedrooms. The
larger double room is on the first floor and has an ensuite shower room.
Each bedroom has a welcome
tray with tea and coffee making facilities and each has a colour television.
The down stairs double bedroom has an adjacent cloakroom containing toilet,
washhand basin and shaver point. There is separate bathroon with bath and
shower upstairs.
Both have extensive
views of the surrounding country side and over the sound of Mull.
There is also a single bedroom
upstairs. Each bedroom has a welcome tray with tea and coffee making facilities
and each has a colour television.

Our legendary breakfasts
are served in the friendly atmosphere of the dining room, and the full
Scottish breakfast will keep you going most of the day. For lighter
appetites, our home made yoghurt and freshly baked croissants come highly
recommended, and when available, fresh locally caught mackerel provides
a tasty alternative. Packed lunches can also be provided, by arrangement.
Salen is an ideal base from
which to enjoy the prolific and varied wildlife that the magnificent Isle
of Mull has to offer. Whether you are walking, cycling or driving, Sea
Eagles, Golden Eagles, Otters, Seals and Deer are all regularly seen nearby.
For walkers, Ben More is only a short drive away, as are many other scenic
and less demanding walks. The ferry to Iona departs from Fionnphort,
the route to which goes through some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland. |
